Roger Stewart

in English, MBA, ACIS, MCIM
Roger Stewart has a degree in English
from the University of St Andrews and an MBA degree from the
University of Edinburgh. He is a Chartered Secretary and a Member of
the Chartered Institute of Marketing. Before establishing CDU
Limited in 1998 he had a 25-year management career in the public
sector. As Head of the Commercial Development Unit of Lothian
Health Board and then Lothian Primary Care NHS Trust, he developed
some of the most successful commercial enterprises introduced into the
NHS, and collected the first Scottish Marketing Award to be presented
to a Public Sector organisation.
Since leading CDU’s management buyout
in 1998 (the first-ever MBO from the National Health Service), Roger
has divided his time between roles as the company’s chief executive
and its lead consultant. His consulting specialities are:

support, company formation and marketing
- Writing and editing services
- Intellectual property protection and
exploitation
- Commercial and charitable
fundraising
- Third party income generation
- Support for grant and award
applications.
